Abstract

577,848. Fusible cut-outs. LAWSON, C. S. Dec. 22, 1944, No. 25739. [Class 38 (i)] A fuse-carrier comprises two caps 1, 2 of insulating material adapted to engage opposite ends of and enclose the metallic parts 4 of a fuse link 5. Each cap may have a contact 3 to engage both with the contact 4 of the fuse link and the fixed contact of a fuse base. Alternatively, the link itself may have contacts for engagement with the fuse base and the caps may be slotted to receive them. The caps may have means for securing them one to the other as to the fuse link, and may be slotted for viewing a fuse-condition indicator.
