577,819. Switchgear structures. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP FABRIEK VAN ELECTRISCHE APPARATEN VOORHEEN F. HAZEMEIJER & CO. Oct. 9, 1941, No. 13041. Convention date, Oct. 25, 1940. [Class 38 (v)] A switchgear structure employing a circuitbreaker with a longitudinally-movable rod contact 2, is adapted for busbar selection by an arrangement of switch arms 5, 6 secured to sleeves 31, 30 rotatable about the rod 2 into engagement with contacts 32, 33 connected to the duplicate busbars 9, 10. Sleeve 30 is fixed to sleeve 26 to which is secured an arc-control device 3 rotatable with the arm 6 and provided with vents 24 arranged on the opposite side of the rod 2 to the arm 6. A fixed-contact structure 1 fixed in the foot of the device 3 has a sliding contact with the cable end to allow rotation of the device 3, Fig. 4 (not shown). The arms 5, 6 are independently operable by worm wheels, Fig. 3 (not shown), on shafts 13, 14, whereby change-over can be made by moving the arms 5, 6 in succession. A shaft 12 drives the rod 2 through rack-and-pinion mechanism housed with the worm wheels in casing 11<1>. A further shaft and worm wheel rotates an earthing contact into the path of arm 5 by means of a shaft parallel to those 12 ... 14, Fig. 3 (not shown).
