Abstract
576,543. Hose-pipe clips. MILLERET, P. E., and HUNT & TURNER, Ltd. July 7, 1944, No. 13041. [Class 44] In a hose-pipe clip a bridge-piece 8 spanning the gap between the ends of the band 1 (shown separate, Fig. 2) is utilized to retain the nut member 7 against loss, the bridge-piece, which is preferably secured to the end of the band adjacent the nut by spot-welding, has upstanding lugs 9 the edges 10 of which are bent inwards to overlie the nut. As described, the nut 7 and washer 6 through which the tightening screw 5 passes are of semi-circular section and nest in correspondingly-curved end portions 2, 3 of the band, the pipe-encircling portion of which is transversely curved with the convexity inwards. The band may be corrugated.
