Abstract

730,415. Band clips. LATHOM ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Dec. 22, 1953 [Dec. 23, 1952], No. 32533/52. Class 44. A pipe clip has separately formed lug members B, Bl attached to a metal strap A, each lug member having a free end portion which is drilled to receive a bolt or screw connecting it to the other lug member and a peripheral flange E around the side thereof facing the other lug member where the clip is applied to a pipe or the equivalent. The lugs B, B<SP>1</SP>, are attached to each end of the strap A either permanently by spot welding, rivetting or the like or as shown one of them B may be permanently fixed and the other B<SP>1</SP> provided with a hook L which can engage one of a plurality of slots K in the strap so that the effective length of the strap can be adjusted. The excess length overlaps the other end in use.
