Abstract

180,802. Walsall Hardware Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Read, A. E., Franks, J. E., and Maisey, C. G. March 21, 1921. Clips, band.-An earthing clip comprising a split band of metal which can be contracted on to a conduit tube and possesses projections on its inner surface to cut into enamel is provided with two projecting ends adapted to grip a wire between them when the clip is tightened on the tube. A clip in two parts 1, 2 has intermeshing hooks 4, 5, 6 at one pair of adjacent ends wherewith to engage the wire, a fastening screw 10 at the other pair of ends, and ridges, points or their equivalents 11 on the inner surface of the clip to out through the enamel on the conduit. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 177,007.
