Abstract

572,109. Checking loom pickers. HINDLEY BROS, Ltd., and WALTON, D. Nov. 8, 1943, No. 18500. [Class 142 (iii)] A device for use in drop box type looms provides a clearance between the shuttle tip and the picker when the boxes are changing by means of a lever E which pushes the picker C to the outer end of its stroke over a spring actuated curved surface H which prevents rebound. The lever E is operated on its outward stroke by a cam fixed on the bottom shaft Q of the loom, through a strap K and a lever N, and on its return stroke by a spring E<3>.
