697,009. Warp stop-motion for looms. SEATON, E. Feb. 5, 1951 [March 14, 1950], No. 6308/50 Class 142(i) In a stop-motion having a reciprocating notched bar are provided yieldable means that operates when a dropper falls and locks the notched bar and means enabling the stop-motion to be disconnected. A connection 9 from a moving part of the loom drive oscillates an arm 11 fixed on a shaft 12. A leaf spring 21 transmits the oscillations to an arm 16, loosely mounted on the shaft 12 and carrying a spring-urged plunger 25 that connects the arm 16 to an arm 13. The arm 13 has a forked end 14 connected to the notched bar. The arm 16 is also connected by a link 17 to means to stop the loom when the notched bar is locked by a fallen dropper and the arm 16 is prevented from oscillating. The spring 21 allows the lever 11 to continue oscillating when the notched bar is locked until the loom stops. By withdrawing the plunger 25 the drive to the reciprocating notched bar is disconnected.
