Stop-motions, warp.-In stop-motions of the type wherein on the breakage &c. of a warp thread, a weight wire &c. normally suspended thereby falls and stops the movement of a reciprocating notched bar coacting with a fixed notched bar, the reciprocating bar n is operated by lever mechanism w, p', s from a shaft a, which is normally oscillated through a doublepart lever comprising a lever f loosely mounted on the shaft furnished with a spring-pressed plunger h engaging a flattened part e of a collar d fast to the shaft. The lever f is operated by a link m, a connecting rod o and a crank pin p or eccentric on the tappet shaft or on a shaft driven therefrom, and it normally oscillates the shaft a, but can oscillate without moving the shaft when the free movement of the reciprocating notched bar is interfered with. The shaft a is connected by lever mechanism 2, 3 to a bell crank lever 4 pivoted at 5 on the stopping and starting handle 7 and furnished with a stud 8 that normally misses a plate 9 fixed on the lay, but is operated thereby, whereby the loom is stopped, when the movement of the shaft a is stopped.
