Abstract

119,636. Robertson, J. F. June 13, 1918. Pickers having renewable liners to take up wear due to friction on the picking-spindle are provided also with a spring plunger or buffer to engage the shuttle. As shown, the picker body N, preferably made of a strong and light alloy, has recesses for receiving liners A held in place by staples or keys B and is provided with a spring plunger D having a renewable face F. The plunger has webs G working in grooves H in the picker body to prevent rotation of the plunger. A lubricantretaining chamber C is formed in the picker between the liners. A rubbing-piece L is provided to take up wear on the guide-tail M, and an orifice 0 is formed to receive the picking-strap.
