Abstract
394,896. Loom shuttle weft-carriers. MASCHINENFABRIK RUTI VORM. C. HONEGGER, Ruti, Zurich, Switzerland. Jan. 12, 1933, No. 1118. Convention date, Jan. 12, 1932. [Classes 120 (iii) and 142 (iii).] A shuttle weft-carrier is formed as a flat solid body of wood, artificial resin, &c., the rear part of which is adapted to be held in the shuttle, for example, by the spring cover of the shuttle. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the flat body a is provided with a hole k<2>, for engagement with the cover of the shuttle, and a metal cap k<3>. In the form shown in Figs. 3 and 4, the body a is rounded at its tip a<2> and has an enlargement a<3> of dove-tail shape in plan and having peripheral channels a<4>, a recess a<5> for the weft feeler, and a groove a<6> for the reception of the reserve of weft. A hole a<1> is provided for engagement with the pivoted shuttle cover.
