Class 142(2) A pivoted peg in a loom shuttle is spring loaded by a spring acting on one face of a recess in the head of the peg. In one embodiment, Fig. 1, a spring 4 engages a face 7 of a recess in the spindle head 2. In another embodiment, Fig. 4, a spring 13 extends between a lip 14 on a face of the recess and an abutment 15 on the shuttle. The spring surrounds a pin formed of two parts 18, 21, one part fitting inside the other. Each part of the pin has an end flange, with a transverse groove, the grooves engaging the lip 14 and the abutment 15. Oil holes 11 are provided in the embodiment shown in Fig. 1.
