Abstract
571,965. Cores for dynamo-electric machines. HOOVER, Ltd., WHITE, A. W., and GILSON, R. J, Dec. 24, 1943, No. 21581. [Class 35] [Also in Group XXII] A dynamo-electric machine has at least two yokes separated by a non-magnetic spacer cast in position in such manner that it overlaps the adjacent ends of the yokes. In the form shown, the yokes A, B with flanges A<1>, B<1> are placed on a split core E in a mould D providing a cavity D<1> for the aluminium forming the spacer. The adjacent ends of the yokes may be drilled, knurled or similarly formed to interlock with the spacer. The spacer may be die cast if desired.
