[Class 131] A dry shaver comprises a dome-shaped perforated guard 7 held in tension, an annular guard 10 and cutters co-operating with both the guards. A spindle 2, driven by a motor, is provided with a stepped head 4 having radial slots 5 in which curved cutting blades 6 are disposed and bear against the dome-shaped guard 7, a spring 15 being placed to bear against the blades 6. The guard 7 is held by a ring 16 which is screwed to a ring 8 forming part of the casing 1, and the rings 8, 16 also hold an annular guard 10 co-operating with a star-shaped cutter 11 driven by arms 13 from the spindle 2 and pressed against the guard 10 by a spring 14.
