[Class 91] A lubricating composition for valves, bearings, &c., comprises a mixture of finely divided graphite and a chlorinated paraffin wax. The latter may be a compound of low chlorine content, e.g., 20 per cent. by weight, with or without a compound of higher chlorine content the compound is usually of at least 40 per cent. and preferably of 45-50 per cent. chlorine content
