569,880. Cartons &c. FIELD SONS & CO., Ltd., and BURTON, R. June 29, 1943, No. 10486. [Class 18] Means for supporting a fragile article in a carton or container comprising sheets of cardboard, paper &c. consists of panels 16, 17 having one or more tongues 6 adapted to engage notches 8 to form a V-support in which, e.g. the bulb end of an electric light bulb may be resiliently engaged. Panels 16, 17 may be connected by a third panel and constitute a loose fitting. The other end of the bulb may be either held by a rectangular piece of apertured boarding or by notched flaps forming extensions of side walls of the container. The end panels of the container formed from the blank shown are folded in the order 24, 23, 26, panel 23 constituting a resilient support, and panel 26 a lock.
