Abstract

567,724. Ring gauges. COVENTRY GAUGE & TOOL CO., Ltd., and JELLIS, M. June 18, 1943, No. 9804. [Class 106 (ii)] A ring gauge for testing plain, screw-threaded or splined male members comprises a number of separate. adjustable gauging members of appropriate shape projecting inwards from the inner periphery of the ring. The gauging members 3 fit into radial holes 5 and are adjustable within fine limits radially by a screwthreaded member 8 engaging a tapped portion of the hole 5 and a screw 9 engaging the gauging member, in the manner described in Specifications 161,137 and 161,242, [both in Class 106 (ii)]. Angular movement of a gauging member is prevented by a block 12 held by a screw 13. When the members 3 are worn, they are easily replaced.
