Abstract

567,591. Loose - leaf binders. TRUSSELL MFG. CO. Aug. 19, 1943, Nos. 13542 and 13543. Convention dates, July 23, 1942, and Dec. 2, 1942. [Class 146 (i)] In a loose-leaf binder, filing.rings 20 of flexible springy non-metallic material, such as leather or plastics, are detachably secured at their ends in keyhole slots 23 formed in the back of the binder, the narrower portions of the slots engaging in grooves 22 formed in the rings. The rings can be released at one or both ends by forcing their ends towards the wider portions of the slots. The back of the binder may consist of wooden inner and outer members 10, 11 having a rib-and-groove engagement and secured together by rivets. An inner layer 15 of the material of the cover is gripped between the wooden members. Alternatively, the back member containing the keyhole slots may consist of a sheet of cardboard or plastic material folded into triangular shape in cross-section.
