[Class 83 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVI] A resilient plug contact comprising a split stem into which is inserted a shaped piece of sheet metal that is then wrapped round the stem to form the resilient contact surface as described in Specification 516,300, has the sheet metal bent prior to insertion in the slit, in such a way as to locate it in its correct position. As shown, the sheet 1 is bent at 4 to define a flat central portion 5 of a width corresponding to the stem, the parts 6 being parallel and deflected in the direction in which they are to be wrapped round the stem. The sheet may, moreover, be welded in position as described in Specification 567,302.
