567,302. Making electric contact pins. BELLING & LEE, Ltd., and HEATH, C. W. June 18, 1943, No. 9874. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVI] Welding.-A resilient plug contact comprising a split stem into which is inserted a shaped piece of sheet metal that is then wrapped round the stem to form the resilient contact surface as described in Specification 516,300, has the sheet metal 3 secured in the split by forming thereon one or more projections 7 which serve as welding points for a projection-welding operation for welding the sheet in the split. The projections 7 may be of elongated shape and may be formed by punching up the material to such an extent that the sheet fits tightly in the split in the stem.
