[Class 83 (i)] In a turn-over moulding-machine, the mould or pattern table q is so mounted on the turnover frame d that it can be swung outwardly and away from the axis of the pressing means g. The frame d may have a fixed bracket n to which is pivoted an arm o in which can slide guide rods s of the table q and a jarring ram r<1>. In the normal position the free end of the arm o is supported by a bracket v of the frame and held by. a spring catch w and, when swung outwardly, by a wheel w. The frame d also carries a series of rollers m<1> arranged along each side of the pressing head h so that when this head is used, after inversion, to draw the mould, this is received on the rollers m<1> aligned with a roller track 18 as in Fig. 4. In a modification, the side members of the frame dare replaced by two cylinders 2, Figs. 3 and 4, the plungers 3 of which carry a cross-member 4 on which the head h is adjustably mounted and the table q is carried by arms o, 9 pivoted at 8 and d<10> so that it can be swung onto a separate jarring device 24 provided with a positioning stop 14. The rollers m<1> are carried from the cylinders 2, the closed ends of which are connected by a bar 1. Two of these machines 19, 20, Fig. 5, may be arranged in conjunction with one jarring device 24 and their rollers m<1> may, in the inverted position, align with gravity roller tracks 180, 181 so that if the machine 19 makes bottom moulds and 20 top, these may be assembled at station 21, filled with molten metal at 22 and knocked out at 23.
