566,194. Coin-freed meters. LANDIS & GYR SOC. ANON. Dec. 15, 1942, No. 17808. Convention date, Dec. 16, 1941. Addition to 480,552. [Class 27] The slide engaging the coin in the apparatus described in the parent Specification is formed with a pocket or recess 20a to receive the coin over a considerable part of its diameter within the periphery of the coin drum 18 before it acts on the slide. To allow this, the shaft of the drum is in two parts, one 83 fixed to the casing, the other 85 fast by a square end 84 with the drum and adapted to turn it by a handle when passing the coin through in operation.
