501,256. Prepayment mechanism for meters. LANDIS & GYR AKT.-GES. Aug. 11, 1938, No. 23719. Convention date, Sept. 10, 1937. Addition to 480,552. [Class 27] In the construction shown in Fig. 1 of the parent Specification, a circular guide bar 135 is provided on the cover plate of the drum closing to co-operate with the feeler 41 of the slide 29 bearing the operating members 33, 34, 35. If, due to the coin being worn at the periphery and not being circular, the projection 31 on the slide 29 has not entered a notch 23 in the coin-operated slide 20, the feeler 41, when it has left the high portion of the cam 16, will be in the position d on the outside of the bar 135. The bar will thus prevent the members 33, 34, 35 from being jolted into engagement with the wheel 36 of the quantity mechanism after the drum has beem partly rotated, and so prevent an incorrect quantity of commodity from being delivered for such a coin-
