520,166. Plural tariff meters. METERS, Ltd., BRADDOCK, T. C.,. and BROWN, R. T. Oct. 13, 1938, No. 29723. [Class 27] Comprises means for effecting an automatic change of tariff when a predetermined supply of gas has been used in slot meters. The winding of the knob s rotates an arm b carrying a lever c fitted with projections or stops e, d which lie behind two tariff discs f, g. Normally the delivery ceases when the stop d contacts the stop i on the disc f, but by hand adjustment of the wheel m, driven by the run-off mechanism of the motor, a spring pivoted lever r can be caused to pass through a notch in the flange p at any predetermined time. This brings the tail of the lever r into register with the projection h on the lever c and knocks the latter aside so that the stop d is out of register with the stop i and delivery can continue until the stop e strikes the stop w on the disc g. The wheel m and lever r may be duplicated to act in conjunction with a stop on a third tariff disc to effect a further charge of tariff.
