[Class 126] A solid-fuel kitchen range comprises a rectangular casing 7 enclosing, in its lower part, a firebox A, two boilers B, C, the former supplying water for domestic use and the latter water for the heating system of the building, and a hot closet D, the upper part of the casing being fitted with an oven F and a boiling chamber E located above a hot-plate 8 extending over the firebox and boilers. A firebox door 9 is provided in the end of the casing, while the front thereof is fitted with doors 10, 11, 12 giving access to the oven, boiling chamber and hot closet respectively. The firebox A has upper and lower hot gas outlets 14, 25, the former delivering to a flue 13 below the hot plate 8 and the latter to a flue chamber 26 recessed into the boiler C and communicating through a port 27 with the flue 13. A single damper 15 controls the ports 14, 27. The oven F is surrounded by a bottom flue 16, forming a continuation of the flue 13, a vertical side flue 30 and a top flue 18, the latter communicating through a cross-flue 32, controlled by a damper 33, with the stack 31 into which the flue 13 also delivers through an opening 34. When the boiler C is not required, the flue opening 25 is closed by a sliding damper 28 which is inserted through the front of the casing 7 and when removed, is interchanged with a dummy damper 29, Fig. 6, and housed in a space between the ashpan 21 and the boiler C. Removable boiling rings 8a, 19 are provided in the hot-plate 8 and the range top plate 17, while, for cleaning purposes, a soot box 38, normally closed by a sliding cover 39, is removably located below the oven side flue 30.
