Abstract

564,951. Electric light fittings. WARDLE ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and OGLEY, D. H. June 25, 1943, No. 10264. [Class 75 (ii)] The crown 7 of an electric lamp reflector 5 is formed with inwardly directed radial suspender lugs 8 having downwardly-turned ends 9 and is supported by an annular spider 6 formed with bosses 17 secured by screws 15 to a canopy 14 carrying the lamp holder. The suspender lugs 8 are raised through gas 11 in a radial flange 10 on the spider and the reflector is then turned until the lugs engage with recesses 13 in an upturned portion 12 on the flange 10. The lugs may be held in the recesses against accidental displacement by adjustable screws 18 on spring-pressed plungers. The canopy 14 is secured by screws 19 to a cowl 20 attached to a housing cap 21 having a pivoted cover 22 giving access to the wiring leads.
