Abstract
524,025. Lamps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and HUBBOLD, S. Jan. 19, 1939, No. 1896. [Class 75 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVI] In a reflector, shade, or globe support in which part, such as the spider 3, extends within an aperture in the reflector 9, shade, or globe, and another part, e.g., the canopy 17, is movable on the first part 3 or, as shown, on means 1 associated therewith, to clamp the reflector, shade, or globe against the' first part 3, the first part 3 or the associated means 1 is formed as a terminal chamber for connection of the supply leads to the lamp-holder terminals 13 and has an access hole 16 which is covered by the outer part 17 when the latter is in the clamping-position. The lamp-holder 10 is screwed to a block of insulating material 11, fitting into the chamber 1, which is a die-cast aluminium cylinder. The canopy threads onto the casing 1 and can, after being unscrewed to let the reflector 9 be removed, be screwed down to expose the opening 16.
