Abstract

597,622. Supporting reflectors. THORPE, Ltd., F. W., and THORPE, F. W. Feb. 21, 1946, No. 5423. [Class 75 (ii)] In an electric light fitting in which the crown 2, Fig. 1, of a reflector 1 is provided with entry gaps 4 so that the reflector may be interconnected with a spider 6 by a relative partial rotation, the spider is provided with a gutter 12 having an outlet terminating beyond the boundary of the lamp holder 8 so that any water reaching the spider will be diverted away from the lamp terminals. The gutter 12, Fig. 2, may be formed between a tubular extension 10 of the spider and sectional walls 13, the bottom of the gutter sloping outwardly to communicate with supporting lugs 7 which are dished at. 15 to act as water channels. A locking ring 17, Fig. 1, screwing on the extension 10 Clamps the reflector crown 2 in its interconnected engagement with the spider 6.
