Shade galleries and holder.s. - In order to allow vertical adjustment of a shade with respect to an electric lamp bulb, the shade gallery g has an internally-screwed sleeve n adjustable by rotation on an externallyscrewed supporting-ring f carried by the lamp holder. The ring f is in diameter larger than the usual clamping nut e and union nut d and, as shown, is clamped between them; its rotation may be prevented by pins or ridges engaging the nut d. Alternatively, the ring f may have screwthread engagement with the sleeve c. To ensure concentricity, the engaging faces of the ring f and nut e may be slightly conical. The shade illustrated is formed by two inverted bowl parts meeting at their periphery.
