Abstract

782,198. Lighting reflectors. LUMITRON, Ltd. Dec. 5, 1955 [Jan. 28, 1955], No. 2665/55. Class 75(2) A reflector e.g. of spun aluminium for an electric lamp 4 adapted to produce a spot light having a bell-shaped waist 2 and a skirt portion 3 of greater diameter than the waist 2, this latter enshrouding a part of the lamp body, is provided with a plurality of tongues 6 formed integral with the neck portion 1 as by a pressing or stamping operation in the rim 5 of the neck, the tongues being bent upwardly and radially outwards so that when the neck of the lamp 4 is pressed inwards the tongues will engage the neck of the lamp to locate the reflector on the lamp. The spaces between the tongues give sufficient ventilation.
