Abstract

952,541. Incandescent mantle fittings. ALADDIN INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 4, 1963 [Feb. 26, 1962], No. 7417/62. Heading F4T. An incandescent mantle fitting capable of being mounted on burners of three different sizes comprises a basal ring 1 provided with an inner annular wall 2 formed with outwardlydirected tongues 3 and an outer annular wall 4 having alternate outwardly and downwardly directed flanges 5 and 6. The flanges 5 cooperate with inwardly directed tongues formed on a burner head; the flanges 6 co-operate with inwardly projecting flanges formed on another burner head; and the tongues 3 co-operate with inwardly directed flanges of another burner head. A guard-ring 8 is clamped to the extensions 10 of the basal ring by tongues 12 and a wire loop 7 for supporting the mantle is clinched in ears 9, which are integral with extensions 13 of the guard ring.
