[Class 75 (i).] Mantle supports.- An upright mantle fitting adapted to be detachably mounted upon a wick burner comprises a supporting loop 2 and a ring connected thereto for centring the mantle at its base, the ring being adapted to be freely supported upon the burner with the mantle and loop entirely above the burner. In one form, a wire ring 8, Fig. 1, is formed with lateral loops 5 carrying the sockets 3 for the loop 2 and with downwardly - projecting loops 9 for engaging a groove 4 in the upper section 10 of a burner cone 11. In a second form, a ring 12, Fig. 2, of channel-shaped section is adapted to receive the lower end of the mantle and be supported in a groove 6 in the upper section 14 of a burner cone 15 detachably connected to the inturned rim 16 of an outer wall 17 of a burner. In a modification, the ring 12 is formed integral with a downwardly-extending ring adapted to engage over the top of a burner cone. In a third form, a perforated ring surrounding the base of the mantle is adapted to be supported on the inturned rim of an outer wall of a burner or by a groove in the upper section of a burner cone.
