Abstract
564,298. Stereoscopic projections. SPINNEY, R. D. June 18, 1943, No. 9802. [Class 97 (i)] In conjunction with a projector having a single lens 8 and reflectors 1, 1a, 2, 2a in a housing 3, for the simultaneous projection of images side by side, or one above the other, from stereoscopic pairs of pictures similarly arranged on a plate or in a film frame, a light shield is provided between the reflectors and the projection screen to ensure the showing of the wanted images only. The shield 10 may extend perpendicularly to the projection beams, may be extensible in width, may be corrugated or otherwise surfaced to avoid reflection to the observers, and may be near the projector or near the screen ; it may be carried by a telescopic rod 11 or other,- wise. The housing 3 may be supported on the projector by telescopic mounts 9, the reflectors may be prismatic, and the prisms 2, 2a may be adjustable about spindles 2 through spring arms 5 and a knurled nut 6.
