Abstract

562,986. Signalling over power circuits. AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE & ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and ROSEBY, P. N. Jan. 19, 1943, No. 960. [Class 40 (iv)] [Also in Group XL] In a system for controlling over power circuits by means of alternating currents of a frequency high compared with that of the power currents and interrupted at frequencies characteristic of the desired control, e.g. as described in Specification 525,840, [Group XXXVIII], the signals are selected bv a circuit L1, C2 tuned to the signalling frequency and loosely coupled to a similarly tuned circuit L2, Cl, the load, including the relay coils X, Y and a rectifier, being in series with the elements of the second tuned circuit instead of in parallel as in the prior arrangement. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 489,772, [Group XXXVIII].
