[Class 1 (iii)] Waste pickle liquor containing hydrochloric or sulphuric acid is treated in a turbo-disperser with a colloidal cream of calcined magnesite, dolomite, or magnesium limestone, preferably under oxidising conditions. The ferric hydroxide'formed is separated from the soluble salts by filtration.
