Известны различные способы получени  роданида железа закисного, в частности способы, основанные на взаимодействии ионов CNS7 например обменным разлол ением роданида бари  и сульфата железа закисного, а также обменным разложением солей закисного железа и роданистоводородной кислоты. Пример. В сосуд емкостью 5 л загружают 2,9 кг железного купороса , 3 кг роданида свинца и добавл ют 1,5 л воды. Реагируюш,ую смесь подогревают нрн тш.ательном перемешивании до полного исчезновени.ч кристаллического л елезного купороса . Полученный раствор роданида лселеза фильтрацией отдел ют от осадка с целью осаждени  сульфатов , смешивают с 30 г карбоната бари  при нагревании.
