Abstract

560,482. Electric incandescent lamps. EDISON SWAN ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., COPE, J. R., and HALE, S. Dec. 17, 1942, No. 17931. [Class 39 (ii)] A length of nickel or other metal is bent into a frame comprising two substantially parallel arms 1 and a transverse portion 2, the arms being bent as at 3, 5 or otherwise marked to indicate the points for connecting bridges 4, 6 by which the filaments are supported. The points 7 at which the filaments are connected to the frame may also be marked. Completed structures may then be degreased or cleaned, and stored. To attach them to leading-in wires the transverse member 2 is cut away and the ends of the arms 1 secured as by clips 10 permitting longitudinal adjustment and facilitating standardization; the clips may be clamped or welded in position.
