Abstract
5836. Scholvien, L. Sept. 29, 1904, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Incandescent lamps.-Supports for filaments, con. sisting of frames having, at each end, arms between which the filaments are carried backwards and forwards, are provided with intermediate supporting-arms or equivalent devices. In Fig. 1, the arms are shown arranged at about the middle of each span of the filament, which is of metal. In another form, Fig. 3, intermediate supports are attached to the bulb. A filament of similar shape may be supposed by arms which are attached to the frame and are made of flexible wire, insulated at its ends, so as to facilitate the introduction of the frame into the bulb. In another modification, the arms are so arranged as to give the filament a spiral form.
