558,613. Drawing and feeding wire. AJAX MANUFACTURING CO. July 4, 1942, No. 17736/43. Convention date, Sept. 16, 1941. Drawings to Specification. [Class 83 (iv)] Wire drawing machines adapted to feed the stock directly to a cold header or like machine are arranged to dispense with the feed rolls between the two machines described in Specification 483,884. The construction of machine described is identical with that described in Specification 558,495 but the claims are directed to the method of drawing that comprises reciprocating a drawing die and a stock gripping device so that they both have the same direction of travel but one has a larger stroke than the other which it approaches to cause movement of the stock through the die.
