[Class 83 (iii)] A chuck for milling- cutters, drills, reamers &c. with parallel shanks, comprises a shank a with body b internally coned at c to receive a conical split collet d with a rectangular opening i to receive tangs. The front of the collet is provided with flats f or is otherwise of non- circular shape to fit a corresponding opening in a screw cap h. The chuck is suitable for use with tools having tangs as described in Specification 319,130, [Class 83 (iii)]
