555,739. Transformers. HOBSON, A., and SMITH & CO. (TRANSFORMERS), Ltd., F. C. March 2, 1942, No. 2741. [Class 38 (ii)] Phase angle and ratio errors are eliminated from a current transformer comprising a primary 1 and secondary 3 on a core 2 by injecting into the secondary circuit a voltage derived from a secondary 5 on the core 6 of a compensating transformer which is worked at all times below saturation and is excited by the current in the primary 1. This voltage, which is proportional to the flux in the core 6, is controlled by a tertiary 7 across which is connected an impedance 8.
