[Class 135] [Also in Group XXXVII] A device for automatically controlling the supply of heat to water heaters is actuated by placing a vessel, adapted to receive water discharged from the heater, on a table or platform. In the form shown in Fig. 1, a valve D controlling the supply of gas or steam to the heater is opened against the action of a spring by placing a receiving vessel on a platform G arranged to reciprocate in a stand K. An electric switch may replace the valve D, and a hinged platform may replace the platform G.
