Abstract

550,571. Vehicle wheels. HOUSTON, G. B. Sept. 2, 1941, No. 11180. [Class 144 (i)] A disc wheel 4 is fitted with a hub formed from steel plate to adapt it to tractor vehicles. A holed disc 1 is welded to the inner face of the wheel disc and a conical sleeve 6, made by bending a steel plate and butt welding the edges, is welded into the hole of the disc 1. A plate 7 with bolt holes 8 is welded over the wider end of the sleeve. Radial ribs 9 may be welded to the sleeve, plate 7 and disc 1.
