Abstract

470,655. Vehicle wheels. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., GOODYEAR, C. E., and SHARP, G. E. March 31, 1936, No. 9488. [Class 144 (i)] A detachable wheel is formed with a conical central portion 8, the larger-diameter face of which is clamped against the lesser diameter face of a conical portion 5 on the brake-drum 4. A driving-ring 11 having a keying engagement with the permanent hub 1 may be welded to the wheel, Fig. 1, or may be formed integral with the wheel-hub, Fig. 4. The incurved centre-portion of the wheel-disc 7, Fig. 1, may be closed by a fairing-disc 20 also secured by the nut 9.
