Abstract

550,267. Connectors for wires &c. ASEA ELECTRIC, Ltd., and OLLEY, J. B. Aug. 26, 1941, No. 10867. [Class 109] [Also in Groups XXVIII and XXXVI] Wires and the like which are to be secured together or form a loop are enclosed in a flattened sheath which is afterwards deformed by crimping which varies in amplitude along the length of the joint. In the eye or loop shown in Figs. 1 and 2 the ends a, b are enclosed in a sheath c deformed by crimping to an extent which is greater at the loop end than at the other end, whilst in the construction where two wires are joined together the deformation gradually diminishes towards each end of the flattened sheath.
