550,166. Boiler furnaces. ANDERSON, R. D. Dec. 11, 1941, No. 16013. [Class 51 (i)] A furnace or gas producer burning sawdust as fuel is arranged with its roof 18 on a level with the floor of a boiler house so that the grate 5 may be fed through openings 17 in the roof. Air is supplied above and below the grate by steam jet blowers and the gases produced are swept through the passage 12 into the combustion chamber 3 of a steam boiler.
