Abstract

547,343. Gas producers. FISHER & LUDLOW, Ltd., and ORWIN, O. J. B. March 28, 1941, No. 4201. [Class 51 (i)] Means for discharging clinker comprises a hollow shaft having an inclined part depending into a tank with a lower portion of a width slightly greater than the shaft and an upper portion of greater width so as to increase its capacity whereby variations in level are slight, the tank also having an inclined end up which the clinker is raked. The producer 10 has a depending, lined shaft 16 leading to an inclined shaft 19 discharging into a channel 21 of slightly greater width and having a discharge incline 23. The tank is T-shaped in section, its upper part 22 being of substantially the same width as the producer. An incline 24 is provided in line with the shaft 19.
