Abstract

543,445. Solidified fuel.burners. CLARK, D. M. (Stirlen, E. D.). Feb. 11, 1941, No. 1872. [Class 75 (i)] Solidified fuel is burnt in an annular receptacle ,11 supporting by flanged rings 13, 14 connected by bars 15 two perforated cylinders 17, 18 forming a combustion chamber 18<SP>1 </SP>and an inner perforated cylinder 16 forming with the central opening 26 in the receptacle 11 an air passage 16<SP>1</SP>. The receptacle 11 is mounted on a stand 10. The cylinders 16, 17, 18 are preferably of increasing height and the cylinder 17 supports by bars 22 a conical air deflector 21 preferably of the same diameter as the cylinder 17 and spaced nearer the upper edge of the cylinder 17 than that of the cylinder 16. The fuel may be sold packed in receptacles 11 fitted with removable covers, the receptacles being discarded when the fuel is consumed.
