Abstract

512,233. Liquid fuel burners. AMSTUTZ; J. Oct. 3 1938, No. 9544139. Divided out of 511,002. [Class 75 (i)] A liquid fuel burner comprises an annular evaporating plate 2 surrounding a main airadmission tube 3 and surrounded by an inclined rim 1 formed with secondary air inlets 13, a perforated cylinder 11 carrying a conical ring 12 and resting on the rim 1, and a ring 4 which rests on legs 6 in a depression in the plate 2 so as to be concentric with tube 3 and is formed with a flange 9 guiding the secondary air to the passages between the legs 6 to mix with the ascending oil vapour. The fuel is fed to the evaporating plate in drops through the air inlets 13.
