Abstract
735,057. Vapour burners. GRAETZ, F., and GRAETZ, E. Sept. 1, 1952 [April 4, 1952], No. 21933/52. Class 75 (1). An internal chimney 1 for a lamp burning vaporized fuel comprises a cylindrical member and an external annular flange formed integrally with one another by a deep drawing process and one or more openings 5 formed at the end of the cylindrical member remote from the flange. The openings are formed by cutting the top of the chimney in such manner that two parts 6 can be bent upwardly from a middle part 7, the parts 6, 7 forming a bridge integral with the chimney. The middle part 7 has two holes for the passage of the two legs of a mixer tube 11 and the parts 6 have vertical slots 8 through which pass screws 9 for adjustably securing the inlet end of the mixing tube in spaced relation to a jet 14 on the end of a vaporizing tube 13. The inlet end of the mixing tube and the jet 14 are located in an air chamber 12 fixed to the interior of the chimney at a lateral aperture therein. The leg of the mixing tube supporting the mantle 20 is supported by a distance piece 17 from the air chamber. The mixer tube can be throttled by means of a screw 21.' The chimney rests on a carrier ring 2 and a hood 3 with air apertures rests on the upper edge 4 of the chimney, an annular space being formed between the chimney and the hood.
