541,932. Percussion fuzes. VERWALTUNGSGES DER WERKZEUGMASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON., (formerly, WERKZEUGMASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON). May 20, 1940, No. 8980. Convention date, May 25, 1939. [Class 9 (i)] The firing-pin 4 of a percussion fuze, of the kind described in Specification 475,596, co-operates with a rotatable guide-member 5 on the end of which an enlargement 4a of the pin is seated to hold the pin away from the detonator 10. The member 5 is normally held against rotation by spring-urged centrifugally-operative pins 7, and frictional pressure on the detonatorcover 11, but is partially rotated by the reaction of a torsion-spring 6 during deceleration of the projectile. The enlargement 4a is thus brought into register with a slot 5b in the member 5 so that on impact the pin is caused to move forward on to the detonator,
